Licensed Master Social Worker
Guided by an overarching humanistic perspective, Angela believes individuals possess an innate motivation for personal growth. At times, life provides occasional, and sometimes persistent, obstacles that hinder our motivation to endure the emotional turbulence accompanying the path to our full potential. A person’s journey is as unique as their fingerprint, and the therapeutic process is no different. Whether one’s goals are interrupted due to biology, psychology, society, and/or environment, Angela strives to deliver treatment catered to the individual and their influences.
Clients are afforded the greatest opportunity for success when they are active participants in treatment. This includes contributing to the development of treatment plans, outcomes, and monitoring. Therefore, Angela believes effective treatment is foundational upon the creation of a strong relationship between the client and provider. From there, a collaborative effort is involved in progress toward ultimately equipping the client with the skills and confidence to conquer their obstacles independently.
Earning her graduate degree from the University of Louisville, Angela is a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW), and she is pursuing the requirements to become a Licensed Specialist Clinical Social Worker (LSCSW). Angela has a strong focus treating trauma survivors and is a Certified Trauma Professional (CTP). Her prior experience includes working in various school settings to address the mental health needs of children as well as with many military families. Services currently offered include providing therapy to children and adults, couples, and family.
