Brooke provides services for individuals (children 3+, adolescents, adults, older adults), couples, and families.
Brooke Gilbert is a graduate of the Marriage and Family therapy program at Kansas State University. Brooke received her bachelor's degree in Psychology at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. Throughout her time at Kansas State, Brooke focused mainly on working with children, adolescents, and families. She is experienced in both play therapy and filial therapy. She is also experienced in navigating different family dynamics using other therapeutic models.
Brooke believes in the importance of clients being able to discover and nourish the meaning of their own story. Having a safe place to share one’s story, and work through life events is vital to the client/client’s experience. Whether play therapy, individual, or family therapy, parents play an essential role in the therapeutic process. Brooke works hard to provide a space where children, adults, and families feel heard and acknowledged.
“Loving ourselves through the process of owning our story is the bravest thing we’ll ever do” - Brene Brown
