Jennifer grew up in the North Central KS area and originally graduated from Kansas State University with a business degree. After working for 20 years in the IT division of a major retailer in Plano, TX, her passion for helping others led her to make a mid-life career change and she went back to school to obtain her master’s in counseling. Jennifer has worked in a variety of settings – a community mental health center, a college counseling center and a retirement center. In addition, she has operated her own independent private practice for the past 8 years.

After several years in Colorado, she decided to make the move back to her beloved Manhattan. She enjoys spending time with her family and friends; reading; and traveling.
Jennifer states: “As a solution-focused therapist, my goal is to help you uncover your true potential and lead a life that is worth celebrating. While we can't change difficult situations of the past, we can work together to better understand and resolve challenges in your life. By applying complementary therapeutic approaches and techniques, we will unearth long-standing behavior patterns or negative perceptions that may be holding you back from experiencing a more fulfilling and meaningful life. If you're looking for extra support and guidance through a challenging situation or you're just ready to move in a new direction in your life, I look forward to working with you to achieve your goals.”

Depression and Anxiety
Depression, fear, and anxiety are some of the most common and uncomfortable emotions that we can experience at some point in our lives. Through counseling and treatment, you can learn to recover motivation, perspective, and joy that you once had in your life.
Relationship counseling can be beneficial to couples who are looking to strengthen their emotional connection, in all stages of their relationship. Therapy sessions are a supportive place to discuss issues and solutions to better strengthen your relationship.
Trauma and PTSD
Many individuals can experience symptoms associated with painful and traumatic circumstances. Anxiety, fear, and hopelessness are a few emotions that can linger post traumatic events. Therapy can help you overcome these symptoms and guide you through the process of grief and healing.
