Dr. Stephanie Wick is the owner and operator of Andrews & Associates Counseling, bringing years of experience and a deep commitment to serving the Manhattan, Kansas community. A longtime resident of the area, Stephanie is married and a proud mother of three. Raised on a small farm in North Central Kansas, Stephanie holds strong ties to her rural roots and values the sense of resilience, connection, and hard work that shaped her upbringing. Her journey into the field of mental health was inspired by personal experience—after enduring a significant loss in 1999, she made the life-changing decision to shift her studies from Apparel and Textile Marketing to Marriage and Family Therapy.
Stephanie went on to earn both her Master’s (2005) and Doctoral (2010) degrees in Marriage and Family Therapy and is a Licensed Clinical Marriage and Family Therapist (LCMFT). With a passion for helping individuals, couples, and families navigate life’s challenges, she has dedicated her career to providing compassionate, evidence-based care. Under her leadership, Andrews & Associates Counseling has grown into a trusted resource for mental health and relationship wellness in the Manhattan area, offering a wide range of services to support clients on their healing journey.
Stephanie works with individuals between the ages of 13-65 on issues related to: faith, identity, marital/couples counseling and therapy, anxiety/depression, overcoming fear and finding purpose, military men/women/families, life transitions, and death/dying/grief. She also enjoys working with professionals struggling with Impostor Syndrome (and other professional issues). Stephanie believes that optimal mental and relational health is first achieved by establishing healthy habits in the areas of nutrition, exercise, mindfulness/prayer/meditation, and social connection. She also believes the goal of therapy is to foster resilience to navigate everyday challenges of life, to use diagnoses for understanding not identity, and to foster mental health that strengthens an individual, not weakens their ability to handle every day life. She believes GROWTH comes from FRICTION and that true safety comes from knowing you can handle yourself in any space, not just the ones that feel comfortable.
Stephanie's goal is to completely experience the client's being--not of his/her symptoms or problems, but of his/her essence as a human being. She believes the basis of any good therapy experience lies in the quality of the relationship between the therapist and the client.
In addition to her role as a therapist, Stephanie is a board member with Konza United Way and speaks regularly at various events on a variety of topics, including faith, mental health, death/dying/grief, boundaries, and more.
