Her practicum/internship experience was fulfilled at Katie’s Way, where she worked with children and adolescents, as well as at the Crisis Stabilization Unit, where she worked primarily with adults.

Brooke Gilbert is a graduate of the Marriage and Family therapy program at Kansas State University. She is experienced in both play therapy and filial therapy. She is also experienced in navigating different family dynamics using other therapeutic models. Brooke believes in the importance of clients being able to discover and nourish the meaning of their own story. Brooke works hard to provide a space where children, adults, and families feel heard and acknowledged.

Conrad Schmechel is a graduate of Kansas State University where he received master’s degrees in Drama Therapy and Marriage and Family Therapy. He is in the process of becoming a registered play therapist, and has been trained in sand tray, play therapy, drama therapy, art therapy, and filial therapy. Conrad prioritizes tailoring treatment to a client’s specific needs while creating a safe, nurturing environment for healing and growth. He believes that we are never too young, old, or wounded to experience the healing we deserve and that we are all capable of re-authoring our life story.
